Constructo model kit.In 1851, the schooner "America" from the New York yacht club defeated the fifteen best English yachts in a regatta around the Isle of Wight, situated off the south coast of England, whereupon the club challenged all-comers across the whole world to sail against the "America" with the recently won cup as the prize. Thus began the "America Cup", the most famous regatta in the world. The kit of the America includes accurately cut-out (water jet) keel and frames, and all batten and spar material in specially selected quality, plus all the fittings shown together with pre-printed sails and flags.
