Amerigo Vespucci 1:100 Modelship-Kit

Training ship of the Italian Navy.Training sailing vessels are currently under discussion. Experts argue that training benefits are not justified by the high investment. The technology is out-of-date and no longer comparable with the realities of modern warships. Nevertheless, there are still a large number of training ships under sail. They bear witness to a long sea-faring tradition. The famous Amerigo Vespucci was designed according to what were then the latest ideas in warship construction and built in the shipyard at Castellammare near Stabia in 1931. The Amerigo Vespucci has been reintroduced as an accurately-detailed model to the scale of 1:100. The kit includes the laser-cut frames, hull and decks, together with all wooden superstructures. All planking, masts, metal and wooden fittings are included, together with cast-metal parts and etched brass decorative parts. The construction plan is very detailed and consists of 9 construction drawings. Building instructions are included.
