Casona de Ceballos, Argomilla, Spanien, century XVI – Kit 1:65
Argomilla, the town in which the Ceballos Palace is located, is situated a few kilometres east of Torrelavega, and south of Santander, in Cantabria, Spain. Facing the buildings that make up the church of San Andrés de Cayón and the chamber of sarcophaguses, is the Ceballos Palace which, despite having been rebuilt in the early 18th century, conserves elements dating from the 16th century, thus making it an important witness of Cantabrian civil architecture of this period. It is a building with a rectangular ground plan and gable roof, the doorway being built of ashlar work stones. In the lower part is a porch with four semicircular arches and classicist-style porches with lintelled entrances.
