These "Polacker" with its exotic charm were wide-spreaded in the 18th and 19th century. Whereas the "Schebecke" was only equipped with "Lateinsegel", the Polacker gets an Lateinsegel at the bow and the classical square-sails at Großmast and Kreuzmast. The mizzen was hanged on a rod - as known from the Lateinsegel. Although built as trading vessel, the Misticque was armed with 18 cannons to protect against pirates.
