€ 229,00
The Goldene Yacht was built by master shipbuilder Peckelhering in Kolberg in the years 1678/9, and was modeled on the yacht Prince Wilhelm lll. von Oranien. 8 cannons made up the yacht's firepower. The crew was 12 strong, but could be stepped up to 50 in the case of action. Not much is known about the details of how the Goldene Yacht served in the Brandenburg war fleet. She was stationed in Pillau harbour, moving in 1700 to Berlin and later to Emden, where she was finally scrapped. The design of the Goldene Yacht model is relatively simple and makes only modest demands on the patience of the model builder. Nevertheless, this model impresses by the numerous detail parts. The ornamentation of the bulwark is included in the kit as etched brass plate, and the other details in cast metal. All wooden parts are, of course, cut out.Technical dataScale: 1/50 Overall length: 580 mm Overall width: 240 mm Length of hull: 470 mm Width of hull: 240 mm Height: 520 mm Planking: single, walnut 2x4 Sails: Sailcloth in kit
