In 1741 the Chatham was built as pleasure-boat for the "high society" at the Chatham Shipyard. Yachts were of Dutch origin. In 1660 they came via Denmark and Sweden to England when Charles II got the yacht Mary for a gift after his return.This kit is designed for beginners as well as for the trained model builder.Very impressing is the stern view with its casting decorations.
