Kit HMS Vanguard Victory Models
HMS Vanguard was Nelson's flagship at the famous Battle of the Nile on 1 / 2 August 1798. The Vanguard was drawn by Thomas Slade and one of fourteen 74-cannon ships ranked third, which formed the so-called Arrogant-class. The ship was ordered on 9 December 1779 and has been keel laid on 16 October 1782 in Deptford. During this time, England was not at war and therefore the construction was very slow. Thus it was completet on 6 Completed in March 1787.
The kit contains: only laser-cut wooden parts. Many etched brass detail sheets as window frames, deadeyestrops, fittings, monograms, canon details, mast and rahdetails, unit doors fittings and hinges - the list is endless. Not less than 20 building plans in 1:1 are included. They show the details for rigging. Likewise, details of the sails, together with the sail cloth attached, so that your model with the main sail can provide. The coppers are so accurately reproduced, that there are different plates for the left or right side. Moreover, there are no out standing nail heads, but only hints. In addition to the building is a well-illustrated instruction on A3 attached and another guide for each step. In the kit are still optional sets with all metal castings for three ships of this class. Therefore you are able to build the HMS Elephant or the HMS Bellerophon or the HMS Vanguard completely. The plans also include recommendations for the colors of each ship.
