The Caravel of Christopher Columbus.Together with the Pinta and Santa Maria, the Nina made up the small fleet with which Christopher Columbus discovered the New World in 1492, believing until his last days that he had landed in India, and thus calling the native population Indians. The Nina was fitted with lateen sails and had a reputation for maneuverability and speed.Just like the Pinta the assembly kit comes with laser-cut wooden parts, color printed sails and flags, high-grade wooden planking and an extensive set of fittings.
